About Krishna University (KRISHNA-UNIVERSITY)

In pursuance of the recommendations of Knowledge Commission, Krishna University was established, vide Andhra Pradesh Act.No.4 of 1991, G.O’ Ms. No.89 Higher Education (U.E.II) dated 25/06/2008 and G.O Ms. No.109, Higher Education (U.E.II) department dated 14/07/2008 at Machilipatnam, as the town is the head-quarters of Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. On 23/04/08, The then Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr.Y Rajasekhara Reddy laid the foundation stone for the University. A Feasibility committee headed by Prof. K. Viyyanna Rao visited Machilipatnam for establishing the University.

Krishna University largely caters to the higher educational needs of people in Krishna District in particular and Andhra Pradesh in general. This district is famous for its fertile soil, rich mineral resources, aquaculture, and horticulture etc. This district is also widely known for its publishing houses.

Krishna University Admission 2019

At UG level, Krishna University offers several courses like BA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, BBM, and BHM with various specializations. The duration period for all these courses is 3 years.

To get admission, students must have passed their 12th (10+2 level) with their associated subject. The eligible students need to appear in KRUCET (Krishna University Common Entrance Test) UG entrance test and get qualified with cut-off marks as subjected by the university.

Krishna University offers many courses with various specializations to the students who want to have education at PG level. The courses offered are MA, M.Com, M.Sc, PG Diploma, MHRM, and M.Ed.

To get admission students should have studied and passed a graduate degree. Eligible students need to appear in KRUCET (Krishna University Common Entrance Test) PG entrance test which is organized by the university itself.

students should register themselves for admission through the online registration procedure available at the official university website. Duly filled-in applications should be submitted along with the processing fee within the stipulated time. students must also attend the interview for the said course at the notified date, time and place.

• Science and Education courses fee for first counseling Rs 1000 for Second counseling Rs.1300/ and for third counseling Rs 1500
• Arts, Commerce and other courses fee for first counseling Rs. 500 for Second counseling Rs. 800/- and for third counseling Rs.1000
